“How much does a neon sign cost?” is the first question almost everyone asks, and the honest answer is: it depends on a handful of clear things. Once you know what drives the neon sign price in India, you can design a sign that looks great and fits your budget.
The five things that set the price
- Width. A bigger sign uses more LED neon flex and more acrylic. Going from 1 ft to 4 ft wide roughly triples or quadruples the material.
- Number of letters. Every letter is bent by hand. Long sentences cost more than short words at the same width.
- Colours. One colour is simplest. Multi-colour designs need more joins and wiring; colour-changing pixel LED costs more again.
- Backboard. Clear acrylic cut to the outline of the letters is standard. Black acrylic or printed backgrounds add a little.
- Finish. A waterproof IP67 build for outdoor use adds a percentage for sealing and testing.
Typical price ranges
As a rough guide across the Indian market: small name signs for bedrooms sit at the lower end, medium quote signs for living rooms and cafés in the middle, and large logo or shopfront signs at the top. Where people overspend
- Too big for the wall. A sign that fills 60–70% of the wall width looks balanced; bigger rarely looks better.
