Colour-Changing Neon Signs: How Pixel LED Neon Works

Can’t choose one colour? You don’t have to. A colour changing neon sign uses addressable LEDs, where every few centimetres of the tube can show its own colour. The result: one sign that can be pink today, blue tomorrow, or run a rainbow across the letters.

How it works

An ordinary sign has one colour along its whole length. In an addressable strip, small chips are controlled one by one by a tiny controller, which is what makes chase, fade and pulse effects possible. At Neon Adda we call this Pixel flow.

What you can do with it

• Pick any single colour from your phone.
• Run effects such as rainbow chase, colour fade and pulse, with 200+ modes in the app.
• Sync to music for parties and streams.
• Set the brightness and speed, or turn it off on a schedule.

Where these signs shine

Gaming rooms and streaming setups, bars and lounges, kids’ rooms, event décor, and shops that change their look for festivals. If your space has different moods through the day, a changing glow earns its keep.

Single colour or changing?

If you already know the one colour you want, a fixed-colour sign is simpler and costs less. Choose the changing version when you want to match different moods, festivals or RGB gear, or when the sign is the centrepiece of a party or a stream.

Price

The addressable strip and its controller cost more than a single-colour build. In our studio, switch the light setting and the price updates instantly, including the app and the remote.

FAQ

Does it need Wi-Fi?

Most controllers connect to your phone over Bluetooth, and also work with the included remote.

Can it be outdoors?

Yes, with the waterproof IP67 build.

Can I still use it as a plain white light?

Yes. Pick warm or cool white in the app and it behaves like a normal sign until you want colour again.

Try it in the studio and watch your words change colour.
